Quality of Service or QoS is the function in the DD-WRT router that lets you specifically select what incoming and outgoing traffic is of higher or lower priority than others. This is useful when you have multiple services running on a PC such as voice calls, high-quality video streaming, gaming, and downloading files. I do not use DD-WRT, but it seems that getting QoS to work requires some fiddling. I suggest to read carefully this post : dd-wrt router firmware QoS troubleshooting from October 2010 (although it only shapes outgoing traffic), where the accepted answer describes a recent QoS script that apparently worked for both answerer and poster. I just assigned the Downlink and Uplink the speeds and did "tc qdisc show dev ppp0" to check but the qdisc wasn't changed neither for imq, output: "qdisc pfifo_fast 0: root [Unknown qdisc, optlen=20]".

u can do a reboot with qos on, then look as lsmod command, no sfe driver listed. turn off qos, reboot again, sfe driver will appear in lsmod. Last edited 3 years ago by tatsuya46 ( previous ) ( diff )
thank you for the reply, i read the qos wiki but no useful info, the funny thing is that it was working couple weeks back, i did some changes to my dd wrt but idk what is causing the issues please i needing help with this. im trying to have torrents running at full speed while prioritizing ftp upload and gaming (ps4), thank you in advance
